Restoring Skybox Appliance to factory defaults

The Skybox USB flash drive that comes in the Skybox Appliance package is for restoring
Skybox Appliance to factory defaults.

This USB drive might not contain the most current ISO for your Skybox Appliance. The latest
ISO can be downloaded from

https://downloads.skyboxsecurity.com/files/iso/

. We recommend

using Rufus (

https://rufus.ie

) to burn the ISO to a USB flash drive. The required Rufus settings

are listed in the following table.

Warning: Restoring Skybox Appliance erases all data on the Appliance.

To restore Skybox Appliance to factory defaults

1. Insert the USB drive.

2. Reboot the Appliance.

3. When you see the Skybox Installation Menu window, press any key to interrupt the boot

process.

Note: If the Skybox Installation Menu does not appear, reboot the Appliance and press
<F6> to boot from the USB drive.

4. In the menu, select Skybox Server Installation.

Note: The restore process takes approximately 25 minutes.

5. Remove the USB drive.

6. Proceed with
