Adjusting Door
Tension
Each glass door has an internal torsion bar, pretensioned at the factory, that
lets the door self-close. If necessary, the torsion can be adjusted by rotating
the capstan mounted at the bottom of the door.
To adjust the door tension
Replacing
Torsion Bar
When the door tension can no longer be adjusted, consider replacing the
torsion bar. The torsion bar assembly is located inside the hinge side of the
door frame.
To replace the torsion bar
1. Isolate the chiller from the power supply by unplugging from the wall socket.
2. Remove door from the cabinet (see page 21).
3. Refit door to cabinet (see page 21) adjusting the tension via the capstan as
necessary.

2. Remove door from the cabinet (see page 21).
3. Remove the torsion bar
assembly from the door.
4. Detatch the existing capstan from the old torsion bar.
5. Thread the capstan over the bottom end of the new torsion bar.
6. Fit the new torsion bar
assembly into the door
frame. When installed
properly the capstan
should not turn.
7. Refit door to cabinet (see page 21), adjusting the tension via the capstan as
necessary.
