SECTION 7.1: PREPARING THE OPENING
Before installing the fire, check the flue for correct operation using a smoke pellet, all of the
smoke should be drawn up the flue and exit correctly from the terminal.
If problems are found
DO NOT fit the fire until corrective measures have been completed.
Protect the decorative hearth whilst aligning the tray within the opening part of the packaging
or a dust sheet can be used.
Before running the gas supply into the opening, offer up the base plate to the fireplace to
check the fit is correct.
Drill 6mm holes through the base plate as shown in the image and fit the Rawlplugs and
screw down base plate.
You can now decide where to route your gas pipe, route holes are provided in the rear and
side of the base plate for use where concealed pipe work is required.
If fitting into a Hotbox or Convector secure the base plate into the slots in the box
