Setting the moon phase and date
The moon phase and date appear in the display at 12 o’clock. To set the two functions,
use the pin side of the enclosed band replacement tool. Two push-pieces are
integrated into the case on the left-hand side of the watch for making adjustments: the
upper push-piece enables you to correct the moon phase, the lower one the date
(see illustration on left-hand page)
First step
First, update the moon phase. To do this, press repeatedly with the pin side of the
band replacement tool on the upper push-piece until the symbol for full moon
appears in the display. The moon phases will “travel" one step forwards clockwise
each time you do this.
Second step
Next, using a calendar that shows the phases of the moon, check on which day the
last full moon was. Set the date hand on the watch to that day. To do this, press
repeatedly with the pin side of the band replacement tool on the lower push-piece
until the white date hand displays this day. (Naturally, you can also use a software
program to calculate the day on which there was last a full moon.)
Third step
Now pull the crown out and turn the hour and minute hands clockwise until the date
shown is correct. Please remember that during this procedure, the symbols for the
moon phase also change. If the current date is set, then the moon phase will also be
correct. Finally, set the time as described. Be careful to ensure that the date changes
at midnight and not at midday. Finally, press the crown back in again.
Important information
The moon phase and date do not function according to the principal of the “eternal
calendar”. The display of the moon phase will therefore go back half a day each month.
Every second month, check to what extent the moon phase shown is still correct. Correct
the moon phase if necessary as described above.
