3.8.3 Annual inspection
The following inspection should be carried out every 12 months, and the results recorded in
the log on the following page.

Visually inspect for dented or broken parts.
Carry out a complete tipping cycle, watching for
any faults or abnormal behaviour.
Hydraulic

2 Hydraulic Ram Inspect for oil leaks.
3 Oil Reservoir
Drain and replace hydraulic fluid, as per
specifications in
§3.7.4 . Clean intake suction-filter.

Remove and clean.
Electrical
systems

Charging Lead
Both plugs are good condition, no frayed or
damaged insulation.
Safety
systems

Dual-hand
controls Dual-hand controls are working correctly – machine
stops instantly when SAFETY button is released.

Safety labels and
markings All warnings labels, operation guides etc are
attached and legible.
Mechanical

8 Mast and cradle
Not twisted or damaged.
No cracked or broken welds.
9 Inside of mast
Lightly lubricate with silicone spray. 10

Flap is undamaged and moving freely.
