Select the “Isolate”option from the Main Menu. The sequence of options shown in Figure 3--7 will be displayed:
Isolate Zone (Sensors Only)
------All sensors (detectors) may be isolated in a selected zone. Proceed as follows:
1. Select the “Isolate Zone”option from the menu. A flashing cursor indicates that an operator input is
required. The display will respond with the following message:
Zone no.:
(0=none,Yes=all)
2. Enter the number of the required zone and press
YES/ENTER
. The AUTOCALL TFX-500M/800M
panel will pause briefly and then display:
isolate
successful
3. The ZONE TROUBLE yellow LED will light and the internal buzzer will sound intermittently. The dis-
play then returns to the “Isolate zone (sensor only)”display, allowing another zone to be isolated.
4. If a non-existent zone number is entered, the display will respond with the following message:
Point(s) not found
5. If an attempt is made to isolate a zone which is already isolated, the display will respond with the fol-
lowing message:
Point(s) already
isolated
The ZONE TROUBLE LED for that zone, and the buzzer, will continue to operate as a warning that the zone is
isolated.
6. If a printer is connected and on-line, each zone disabled will be logged in the following format (in this
example, Zone 1 has been isolated):

Non Addressable Pnt. Zone 1
Isolate Point (2-Way Data Circuits Only)
------ Individual devices may be isolated using their addresses. Proceed as
follows:
1. Select the “Isolate Point”option from the Isolate menu. The display will respond with the following
message:
Loop : A (Y/N)?
2. If the device to be isolated is on Loop A, press
YES/ENTER
. Go to Step 8 and proceed.
3. If the required device is NOT on Loop A, press
NO/DELETE
. The display will respond with the fol-
lowing
message:
Loop: B
(Y/N)?
4. If the device to be isolated is on Loop B, press
YES/ENTER
. Go to Step 8 and proceed.
5. If the required device is NOT on Loop B, press
NO/DELETE
. For AUTOCALL TFX-800, Loops “C”
through “K”will display, one at a time. Then the display will respond with the following message:
Loop: All
(Y/N)?
6. If you need to isolate the SAME numbered point on ALL loops, press
YES/ENTER
. Go to Step 8
and proceed.
7. If a mistake is made, press
NO/DELETE
. The display will return to that shown in Step 1.
8. Once the correct loop has been chosen, the display will respond with the following message:
Point no.:
(0=none,Yes=all)
9. Enter the address of the required device and press
YES/ENTER
. The AUTOCALL
TFX-500M/800M panel will pause briefly and then display:
isolate successful
The TROUBLE yellow LED will light and the internal buzzer will sound intermittently. The LCD will return to:
