6.23 Quick init menu structure
The ‘quick init’ menu structure of the CM5 is shown in the following diagram.
0001 Startup screen. This gives information about the generator type, the current firmware
version, the set communication bus address and other relevant information about the
generator.
0002 Menu option to determine whether the generator must function as an ECM or whether
the generator must be configured more specifically. If the generator is used to replace
an ECM, select the option “
YES ”. By selecting “ NO ”, other parameters will need to be
set.
0003 Menu option for setting the operating mode of the generator. Possible choices: “ Local ”
for keyboard operation, “ Remote ” for control via the analogue signals and “ Fieldbus ”
(optional) for control via a serial communication network or “ AdvOutC ” (optional) for
speed-related control of the high voltage.
0004 Menu option for setting the control mode of the generator. Possible choices are “ VC ” for
voltage control, “ CC ” for current control or “ AdvCC ” (optional) for advanced (or
intelligent) current control.
0005 Menu option for selecting the control voltages for the remote I/O inputs and outputs. A
choice can be made from “ 0-5 V DC ”, “ 0-10 V DC ”, “ 0-20 mA DC ” and “ 4-20 mA DC ”.
0006 Menu option for setting the communication bus address. By default this is set to “ 126 ”.
The possible range is from address “ 0 ” to “ 125 ”.
0007 Menu option for setting the use of the external switching input. “ Continuous ” mode
indicates that the output voltage is continuously switched on. The option “ External ” is
used to switch the output voltage on and off via the external input. The option “ Bus ”
