9.5 Charging mobile devices using the speaker
You can charge mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets using the speaker. These use the
speaker’s integrated rechargeable battery and reduce its charge level accordingly. Proceed as
follows:
•
Connect the USB C connector of the charging cable (B) included to the USB C charging socket
of the device to be charged. Alternatively, you can also use the original USB charging cable of
the respective device manufacturer.
•
Now connect the USB A connector of the charging cable (B) to the USB A socket (10) on the
speaker.
•
Briefly press the on/off button (1) to switch the speaker on. The charging process will start
automatically.
•
Disconnect the charging cable (B) from the speaker and mobile device to end the charging
process. Charging is also interrupted or stopped when the speaker is turned off.
10. Troubleshooting
The speaker will not switch on
•
The battery of the speaker is empty. Charge the battery with a suitable USB mains adapter.
Pairing with a compatible Bluetooth
®
device will not work
•
Check whether the speaker is switched on. Switch it on, if necessary.
•
Check the distance between the speaker and Bluetooth
®
device. This may not exceed 10 metres.
Obstacles and electronic devices can have a negative impact on the reception range. Reduce
the distance between the devices, if necessary.
•
Check that the Bluetooth
®
feature is enabled on the Bluetooth
®
device that is providing the audio.
Activate the Bluetooth
®
feature, if necessary.
•
If a 3.5 mm cable is plugged into the AUX IN jack (9), remove it, because the Bluetooth
®
feature
does not work if a cable is plugged in.
•
Make sure that a previously paired connection with another Bluetooth
®
device is no longer
active. If necessary, disconnect the connection and reconnect to the desired audio source.
No sound
•
Increase the volume of the speaker. In AUX IN mode, increasing the volume on your playback
device can also solve the problem.
You notice limitations in functionality
•
This problem may be related to the software of your Bluetooth
®
device not being up to date. If
necessary, try to update the software version. Please consult the operating manual of your
Bluetooth
®
device.
