6. Before use
1. Place the deep-fat fryer on a level and
stable surface.
2. Unwind the mains cable completely.
Caution!
Make sure that the cable does
not come into contact with the hot parts of
the fryer so that it is not damaged.
3. Press the unlock button of the frying
lid

4. Remove the frying basket

6.1 Preparations for frying
1. Place the frying lid

you have not already done so.
2. Insert the handle for the frying basket

in the frying basket

:
– Press the two metal ends of the handle
together slightly;
– Insert the handle in the lugs on the
inside of the frying basket;
– Move back the handle until it audibly
engages.
The appliance is now ready for frying.
6.2 Preparations for fondue

6.3 Add the oil or fat
You should use either liquid frying oil or
solid frying fat
for frying
.
You should melt solid frying fat in a frying
pan or saucepan before adding it to the
fryer.
Broth can also be used
for fondue
.
Caution!
The appliance is not suitable for
chocolate or cheese fondue.
Note:
Never mix different types of fat or
oil!
1. Add oil or melted fat up to the upper
"MAX" marking of the fat container

the dry and empty fryer.
2. Insert the plug in a socket.
6.4 Melt existing fat
If the fryer already contains solidified fat
from an earlier frying/fondue session, it must
be melted in the fryer. Do this very carefully
so that the melting fat does not start to spit
or the fryer does not overheat.

3. Use a fork to prick a few holes in the fat
so that any steam formed can escape
more easily.
