Before fi rst use
■ Remove the steam iron from the packaging.
■ Remove all stickers and protective fi lms from the
steam iron and from the sole of the iron

► Plastic bags can be dangerous. To avoid fatal-
ities through suff ocation, keep plastic bags out
of the reach of children.
■ Fill the water tank with water (See the chapter
"Filling the water tank").
■ Insert the plug into a mains power socket supply-
ing an electrical current as detailed on the rating
plate.
■ Move the temperature control

to the "MAX"
position.
■ Heat the steam iron up for several minutes at the
highest setting.
■ Activate the steam blast button

of times so that steam comes out of the sole of
the iron

■ Then iron over a piece of scrap fabric to remove
any production residues that may remain on the
sole of the iron

Filling the water tank
■ Hold the iron in your hand at an angle.
■ Open the cover of the fi ller opening for the
water tank

■ Using the measuring beaker

, fi ll the water
tank with tap water/distilled water to the "MAX"
marking (and no further).
■ Close the cover of the fi ller opening for the
water tank

NOTE
Should the mains water at your locality be rated
as hard, it is recommended that you mix the mains
water with some distilled water. Otherwise, the
jets for the steam blast function could calcify
(become blocked) prematurely.
To extend the optimal steam blast function, mix
mains water with distilled water according to the
table:
