APOGEE Wireless User Guide
Table 1. RSX Indicator Light.
(continued)
Indicator State
RSX Status
Good or Bad?
Rapid Green Flashes
RSX is communicating wirelessly with its bound and
powered WRS, and is communicating with its wired
link to a powered TEC
Good
Two Rapid Green
Flashes followed by
2 seconds OFF time
RSX is communicating wirelessly with its bound and
powered WRS, but is not communicating with its wired
link to a powered TEC
Bad
Need to check wired
link and TEC device for
problems.
Two Slow Green Flashes
followed by 2 seconds
OFF time
RSX has not communicated wirelessly with its WRS
during the last two WRS heartbeat intervals (default
of 10 minutes), but the RSX is communicating via its
wired link to a powered TEC
Bad
Need to check wireless
link and WRS device
for problems.
Slow Green Flashes
RSX is not bound to a WRS or is not communicating
with bound WRS, and is not communicating with its
wired link to a powered TEC
Bad
Need to ensure RSX
is bound to WRS, then
check links (wireless
and wired) and devices
(WRS and TEC) for
problems.
Flashing Yellow
Bootloader only loaded.
Bad
RSX is not operational.
Need to contact Field
Support.
Solid Yellow
(Continuous)
EEPROM error.
Bad
RSX is not operational.
Need to contact Field
Support.
Wireless Room Sensor (WRS)
A Wireless Room Sensor (WRS) is associated with a speci
fi
c RSX/TEC. Using the wireless connection,
the WRS communicates its information to its TEC via associated RSX attached to the TEC’s RTS port.
Three WRS models are available:
•
Sensing Only
•
Sensing with Display
– includes an LCD panel showing current room temperature, TEC occupancy
mode, TEC address, remaining WRS battery power, and wireless WRS/RSX link communication
strength (when in diagnostic mode). Can be con
fi
gured to show room temperature in either
Fahrenheit or Celsius degrees.
•
Full Featured (Sensing with Display, Override, and Setpoint)
– in addition to the Sensing with
Display features, this model includes push buttons for users to override the occupancy mode
and adjust the temperature setpoint.
