Getting Started,

Preconditions

The following preconditions must be fulfilled in order to be able to use function block FB160:

●

The library with the function block has been downloaded to the PC.

●

The Hardware Support Package (HSP) for the UPS1600 has been installed in STEP 7

V12.

●

The UPS1600 has been setup for buffer operation (see Chapter Buffering an S7 IO

controller, including the I/O when the power fails (Page 25)).

Installing the "UPS1600 library TIA Portal V12 SP1"

1.

Open STEP 7 V12 and change to the project view.

2.

Open a global library under task card "Libraries".

The dialog box "Open global library" is opened.
