Operating the device

5.4 Operating RAID systems

SIMATIC IPC647E

Operating Instructions, 11/2018, A5E45589180-AA

Install a replaced drive in the running system (without restarting the device):
1.

Select "Start" > "Intel" > "Intel Rapid Storage Technology".

Select the menu "Status".
The new drive is displayed on the right-hand side of the program window in the "Storage

System View" area.
If the new drive is not shown, click the "Run Hardware Scan now" icon.

Click on the RAID volume in the "Storage System View" area on the right-hand side of the

program window.

Click on the link "Rebuild to another Disk in the "Manage" menu.

In the following dialog, select the newly installed drive and click on "Rebuild".
The RAID system data synchronization (Page 78) is started.
