O-rings

 – O-rings are included with the plugs and pipe adapters.  Connection adapters use white 

O-rings size (2-222) and an orange O-ring size (2-221) and are made of Silicon. The slightly

Piping Adapter Material

 - To avoid corrosion, the piping adapters and plugs must be non-

metallic. Factory supplied plugs and adapters are made of PVC. Additional high purity adapter 
kits are available if required for installation. See Appendix C for the Polypropylene plug/adapter 
drawings. 

 
 
 

Tightening

 - Adapters should be tightened to ensure that orings are engaged in the endplate. 

The maximum torque necessary to install adapters and plugs will be less than 6 ft-lbs to engage 
the oring and ensure a leak free seal.
