Pausing an ongoing programme
Note: You cannot switch to another channel during an ongoing timeshift recording.
Continuing an ongoing programme
Controlling the timeshift playback
Use the following buttons to control the timeshift playback, for example to skip
recorded advertising breaks or to repeat individual scenes:
Setting bookmarks
You can identify individual scenes with a bookmark during an ongoing timeshift record-
ing. You can then view these again, for example, before you terminate the timeshift
playback, see "Using Trickmode" on page 54.

Pause the ongoing live programme.
The set-top box stops the playback of the live programme. You see the
last picture from the ongoing programme in pause mode as a
still image ;
a pause character is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen.
At the same time, the data for this programme still being received is
stored on the integrated hard disk (timeshift recording).

Press this button to continue the ongoing programme from the still
image.
Pause mode is ended. The current programme is played back from the
beginning of the timeshift recording. The total length of the timeshift
recording and the current time within the recording are displayed in the
information bar. The live programme received is recorded in the back-
ground in parallel to the timeshift playback.

Start the fast rewind or forward.
Press the button a number of times in order to increase the rewind or
forward speed.
p
End the fast rewind or forward.
The timeshift playback is continued at normal speed.

Open the Trickmode bar.

Set a bookmark.

Close Trickmode.
