7.1 Ordinary Maintenance
Check the stretcher once a month, or more frequently if the product is used in heavy-duty circumstances.
The inspection must include the search for anything that could compromise the integrity, and correct
operation of the stretcher, e.g. bent or broken parts. During the inspection it is necessary to carry out the
same operating test described in “Testing”.
7. MAINTENANCE
Warning
If there is any sign of damage, disable the stretcher until the necessary repairs or
replacements have been completed.
7.2 Cleaning
Warning
Clean the antistatic wheels (If supplied) regularly, in order to ensure the ground
continuity.
Caution
Keep a record of the maintenance procedures carried out.
Warning
IN CASE OF BLOODTRANSMITTED DISEASES: To reduce the risk of exposure while
using the stretcher, follow the maintenance instructions written in this manual, and
the personal safety regulations as established by the person in charge of the Medical
Emergency Service.
Every 30 days:
• Clean the metal parts with water and soap, rinse and dry completely, then apply the polish (the type
used for cars) with a cloth;
• Clean the rubber parts with water and soap, rinse and dry completely, then lubricate them with a
silicone spray;
• Lubricate all the moving parts with white lithium-base lubricant.
• Remove the excess lubricant before using.
• Conduct a complete operation test.
7.3 Lubrication
Make sure that the jointed or moving parts will be lubricate regularly, in order to avoid sudden lockings and
breakings.
Lubricate every 2-3 months with a lubricating, detergent, and corrosion proofing spray.
