5.6 Potential Equalization Connection
Caution
Equalise the electrical potential of all the metallic parts without protection if the
patient is connected to intracardiac intravascular instruments.
The Slim stretchers are equipped, at the head side, with potential equalization terminal (29).
Follow the instructions below to equalize the potential of the metallic parts without protection:
• Connect the cable of the potential equalization terminal (29) situated on the bed.
• Connect the potential equalization terminal to an appropriate terminal.
If an earth system is not available, in order to achieve equalization of the potential it is necessary to connect
the cable of the potential equalization to the terminals of all instruments in use.
