5. Rotate the gearshaft and holders
until the hole in Holder A aligns
with the matching hole in the
gearcase flange. Lock the assembly
by inserting the long end of the
hex wrench through both holes.
6. Install the shaft bolt and bolt guard
as shown, and then use the small
end of the spark plug wrench to
securely tighten the shaft bolt in a
counter-clockwise direction.
7. Remove the hex wrench from the
gearcase and holders.
WARNING!
Never operate the brushcutter
without the safety clip installed
and both holders tightly secured
and flat against the blade surface!

ASSEMBLY
NOTE:
The unit is shipped with Holder
A and Holder B. The shaft bolt is
a LEFT-HAND THREAD AND IS
TIGHTENED BY TURNING
COUNTER-CLOCKWISE!
With the gearcase output shaft
facing “up” and both holders
removed...
1. Position Holder A as shown on the
gearcase shaft.
2. Install the safety clip off center on
the gearcase shaft.
3. Slide the blade over the safety clip
and onto the flange on Holder A.
Lock the blade on the shaft by
centering the safety clip as shown.
4. Install Holder B on the gearcase
shaft. The machined recess in
Holder B must completely sur-
round the safety clip, and both
holders must be flat against the
surface of the blade.
The unit should now be completely assembled.
