Remove the battery. (Refer to "6-5. Battery Inspection ".)
Replace the engine oil. (Refer to "9. Inspection/Maintenance".)
Drain the fuel from the fuel tank and fuel filter. (Refer to "9.
Inspection/Maintenance".)
Remove the engine key and store carefully in a secure location.
Clean the entire generator, and store in a dry and dust-free location, with it covered
or otherwise protected.
<Note>
Recharge the removed battery approximately once a month.
Use the following table to inspect the generator when operation is poor or faulty. Please
contact the authorized distributor where this generator was purchased or one of our sales
offices if you cannot solve a problem after performing inspection.

Do not touch this generator during operation if it or your body is wet.
Be sure to always stop the engine before performing any check or
maintenance.
Do not open any doors during operation. An open door could result in
being pinched or caught in moving parts such as the cooling fan and
belt.
WARNING: ELECTRIC SHOCK/INJURY
This generator uses diesel fuel. Be sure to always stop the engine
before checking the fuel or refueling, and absolutely do not allow flame
near the generator when performing such procedures. Wait until the
engine cools before performing such procedures.
WARNING: FIRE
Do not touch the engine or surrounding parts while the generator is
operating or immediately after the engine has stopped because they
are still extremely hot.
