1.  Loosen the air cleaner cover knob and re-

move the air cleaner cover. See Figure 6.

3. Connect the bullet shaped end of the 

throttle cable to the throttle lever on top 

of the carburetor. See Figure 8.

Wiring runs must not interfere with 

throttle operation.

2. Loop the ribbed cable tube under the 

tube and to the top left side of the en-

gine and push cable through the cable 

adjuster. See Figure 7.

The throttle lever free play should be  

approximately 4-6 mm. See Figure 10. Make 

sure that the throttle lever operates smooth-

ly without binding. If it becomes necessary 

to adjust the lever free play, follow the proce-

dures and illustrations that follow.

Assembly and Adjustments

1.  Loosen the lock nut on the cable  

adjuster. See Figure 11.

2. Turn the cable adjuster in or out as re-

quired to obtain proper free play 4-6 mm. 

See Figure 11.

3. Tighten the locknut.
4.  Reinstall the air cleaner cover.
