Plain text files will only have the structure that is contained in its
paragraphs, sentences, words and characters. There will be no
additional structure such as headings. HTML files will have
paragraphs, sentences, words and characters navigation but might
also have heading level information if this has been coded into the
original HTML document. If the HTML file has headings, you will be
able to use these to enhance your navigation in these files.
Note:
If the HTML file contains headings at multiple levels, you will
only be offered a single level for heading navigation. In other words,
all headings in an HTML file will be treated as Level 1 headings.
13.3. Navigating by percentage.
Text Files do not allow you to navigate directly to headings, pages or
groups, like DAISY book. Consequently these options are not
available to you when you press the GoTo key. However, PLEXTALK
does allow you to navigate by a percentage of the file that has been
played.
To navigate by percentage, do the following:
•
Press the GoTo key once. The guide speech will say "Go to
percent".
•
Type in a percentage between 0% and 100% and press the
Enter key.
•
PLEXTALK will move the playback position to that position in
the Text File.
•
If you accidentally enter a number larger than 100%,
PLEXTALK will take you to the end of the Text File.
13.4. Moving to the beginning or end of a text file.
Moving quickly to the beginning or end of the text file is very useful.
To move to the beginning of a text file, do the following:
