7.5.11 Adjusting gear shift
7.5.11.1 ROHLOFF hub
Only applies to pedelecs with this equipment

Check whether the shift cable tension is set in
such a way that there is a perceptible play of
around 5 mm when the shift handle is turned.

Adjust the shift cable tension by turning the
tension adjuster.
Unscrew the tension adjuster to increase the
shift cable tension.
Tighten the tension adjuster to decrease the
shift cable tension.

If the marking and numbers on the shift handle
to no longer coincide after the gear shift is
adjusted, tighten one of the tension adjusters
and screw out the other tension adjuster to the
same extent.
7.5.12 Bowden-cable-operated gear shift,
single-cable
Only applies to pedelecs with this equipment
Adjust the play on the adjusting sleeves on the
shifter housing to ensure a smooth gear shift.

7.5.13 Bowden-cable-operated gear shift,
dual-cable
Only applies to pedelecs with this equipment
For a smooth gear shift, set the adjusting
sleeves underneath the chain stay on the
frame.
The shift cable has around 1 mm play when it
is pulled out gently.
