General Safety Information (cont.)

It is recommended to recharge the JumpSmart every 3 months to ensure the battery is sufficiently charged and

can effectively jump start a vehicle.

NOT

expose the JumpSmart or any of its accessories to moisture, water, rain, and/or snow.

⚠

Never use the JumpSmart and its accessories with wet hands. Doing so may cause electric shock.

⚠

NOT

immerse the JumpSmart or its accessories in water.

⚠

NOT

store JumpSmart and its accessories in a location where temperatures may exceed 140°F (60°C).

PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS

NEVER

smoke or allow a spark or flame in the vicinity of a battery or engine.

⚠

Remove personal metal items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces, and watches when working with lead-acid

batteries.

⚠

Always wear protective gear such as glasses, gloves, and clothing when working with battery.

⚠

Do not drop metal tools onto a vehicle battery. Doing so may initiate a spark or short-circuit causing a fire/

explosion hazard.

Consider having someone close enough by to come to your aid when you work near a lead-acid battery.

⚠

Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid contacts skin, clothing, or eyes.

⚠

If battery acid contacts skin or clothing, wash immediately with soap and water. If acid enters eye,

immediately flood eye with running cold water for at least 10 minutes and get medical attention immediately.
