The "MOVIAXIS

parameters of the servo inverter that can be read or written via the various communica-
tion interfaces, such as system bus and also via the fieldbus interface.

The MOVIAXIS
®
multi-axis servo inverter enables you to use the XFE24A option to con-
nect to higher-level automation systems via EtherCAT thanks to its powerful, universal
fieldbus interface.
3.3.1
MOVIAXIS
®
and EtherCAT
The unit behavior of the servo inverter which forms the basis of EtherCAT operation is
referred to as the unit profile. It is independent of any particular fieldbus and is therefore
a uniform feature. This feature allows the user to develop fieldbus-independent drive ap-
plications. This makes it much easier to change to other bus systems, such as Profibus
(option XFP11A).
