5.1 Power supply requirements
The DC power supply must be connected to the power input. The characteristics of the power input are as follows :

The module is supplied with a 12V mains adaptor. It can also be powered from an alternative power source with a voltage range 5 to 16V,

Input protection :

On board reverse polarity protection

Overvoltage spike protection to 30V for 1mS.

ESD protection to +/-4KV contact discharge and +/-8KV air discharge.
