Figure 14 shows the PRV Settings screen. The cursor indicates the option you wish to
choose. Move the cursor using the
▲
and
▼
keys. Select the option using the ENTER key.
To exit this screen and return to the previous screen, press the ESC key.
Type: PRV type can be changed between VREL valve and Needle valve, depending on
the type of Sample Sentry II. Typically, this is factory set and should not be changed. The
access this setting, a password of 856 must be entered.

Start Position: PRV start position is used as the position the PRV returns to when entering
and leaving automatic mode. It is also referred to as the home position or home setpoint.
The value can be changed between 0 and 100 percent, with 0 setting the position fully
closed. This can be set to higher if the sample line tends to have initial debris in the line
that can clog the VREL valve, or to reduce the time it takes for the sample to reach its
setpoint flowrate. This is factory set to 10 percent and is typically not adjusted by the
customer. For older models, this setting is referred to as the home set point and is not
customer adjustable and set to zero.

Recalibrate:
PRV recalibrate is used to reset the PRV limits. This should be done if there
are any manual (hand) adjustments done to the PRV, if there is a PRV replacement, or if
there is ever a motor alarm on the unit. For example, Recalibrate should be done if a VREL
valve is replaced after it has been taken off the Sample Sentry II for cleaning. Also, if the
coupling slips on the shaft of the PRV, a recalibration is required. For older models, this
setting is not available and resetting the PRV must be done by a reboot of the unit.
