Receiver not secure
Secure receiver.
Bad tamper switch(es)
Check with ohmmeter and
replace if necessary.
Bad wiring and
connections
Test and repair.
Jumpers installed
incorrectly
Check ALM and TMP jump-
ers at PARC-3. See Figure 4-
1. Check TMP jumper JP8 is
installed. See Figure 4-2.
Audio not coming
from receiver
location
Defective receiver
Swap connectors at PARC-3
card. If defect moves re-
place receiver. If defect
does not move replace PARC-3
and retest.
Audio not present
upon alarm
or
Audio not capable
of selection at
central
Improper jumper setting
Check audio jumpers on
PARC-3. See Figure 4-1. Check
JP9 on PAR. See Table 4-2.
Defective receiver
Replace receiver and retest.
Defective PARC-3
Replace and retest.
Hum in audio
signal
Cable shield improperly
grounded
Check shields for grounding
at receiver and PARC-3. Use
ohmmeter to check resist-
ance. Correct and retest.
Shield not connected
Test connections. Repair
and retest.
Audio line grounded
Use ohmmeter to test for
resistance to ground. Repair
and retest.
Magnet missing or not
located correctly
Check magnet mounting.
