1.3.4 Protective pad for the foot abduction splints
An ALFA-Flex protective pad or a BETA-Flex protective pad is available as an accessory for the particular foot abduction
splint. These can be attached around the respective splint bar or around the central oval. The protective pad serves, for
instance, to prevent injuries to children, but also to protect furniture and floors from scratches.
1.3.5 ALFA-Flex sole plates
The ALFA-Flex sole plates are a potential accessory for the foot abduction splints. Their use results in a system modifi

cation of the orthosis. The ALFA-Flex sole plates are used in rare cases to attach external custom-made foot supports to
a foot abduction splint manufactured by Semeda.
The use of the foot abduction splint with the custom-made device does not correspond to
the orthotic systems described here. Therefore, we only accept liability for the accesso-
ries provided by us i.e. the sole plate.
