Specific properties of the foot supports
Both the ALFA-Flex shoes / foot supports and the COMFOOT bandage shoes / foot supports can be used as components
of the ALFA-Flex foot abduction orthosis. These foot supports can also be used in the BETA-Flex Brace foot abduction
splint system. In order to avoid listing them twice, the specific characteristics of the foot supports are dealt with under
point 4.3.

Specific function
As a system orthosis with the foot supports: The BETA-Flex Brace foot
abduction orthosis is used for babies/toddlers and children diagnosed
with idiopathic clubfoot according to the conservative therapy approach
of Dr Ponseti.
It serves to maintain the correction of the foot that has been achieved
by a plaster corrective. It serves to prevent a relapse (renewed deterio-
ration) and has no corrective effect.
The rotors enable the child to have a limited kicking movement.
