Once all the accessible blades have been checked; exit
from the body removing all the material brought into the
body itself. Rotate the augers in order to make another set
of blades accessible for the checking.
Proceed to the checking of these blades taking all the
precautions indicated in the previous points.
Once the operation is finished, make sure that nothing
that can damage the machine or harm the animals has
been left in the body. To enter and exit from the body, use
suitable steps.
If the edge of the blade is worn, it can be sharpened with
a small sander or the blade can be changed when it is too
worn. Refer to Fig. 52 for the exact cutting position.
It is extremely important that the blades and
counter-blades are always sharp and in the
correct position. In this way there will be
maximum efficiency in cutting and mixing,
with the minimum absorption of power. The
blades have cutting sides to be used in
rotation (once one side is worn). Check the
position of the knives.
4) Checking the chains tension (
Fig. 53 )
Check the tension of the transmission chains.
If the chains are loose, refer to chapter 5.1 “Chains
adjustment”, in order to regain the correct tension.
Lubricate with oil of the type prescribed in the par.
