5 OPERATION
DANGER!
• The water kettle shall be fi lled with water only up to the
marking ‘MAX’ (1.7l) shown on the water gauge. Do not
overfi ll the device to avoid the escape of boiling water.
RISK OF SCALDING!
•
Do not operate the device without the inserted permanent
fi lter. Boiling water may escape from the spout.

NOTE!
• Fill the water kettle with cold water only. Do not fi ll the device
with other liquids than water.
•
The water kettle is equipped with a boil dry protection. Should
you, by mistake, turn on the device without having fi lled it with
water the water kettle turns off automatically.
•
Let the device cool down before next operation.
1. Open the lid (5) by pulling the lid opening handle (1) upwards.
2. Fill the water kettle with cold water. Filling quantity should always be between the markings
‘MIN’ (0.5l) and ‘MAX’ (1.7l) shown on the water gauge (4). Overfi lling the device may cause
the escape of hot water during operation.
3. Close the lid (5).
4. Place the water kettle onto the kettle base (3) until it snaps into place. Only a proper
connection of water kettle and kettle base (3) ensures a smooth operation.
5. Connect the device to the power supply.

Turn the On/Off switch (2) to position ‘I’ to start the water kettle. The operation indicator
lights up to confi rm the start of operation.
7.
Let the water boil. As soon as the water has reached its boiling level, the device turns off
automatically. The operation indicator goes out.
If desired you can turn off the device before the water boils by turning the On/Off switch (2)
to position ‘0’. If you disconnect the device from the kettle base (3) the water kettle turns off
automatically.
8.
Take off the device from the kettle base (3) and slowly pour out the hot water.
9. Place again the water kettle onto the kettle base (3) until it snaps into place.
10. Disconnect the water kettle from the power supply.
