COOLER FAULTS AND TROUBLESHOOTING
TROUBLESHOOTING TABLE

Fault Code 1 PLC – PCBA COMMUNICATION
FAILURE
Cooler PLC has lost communication with
PCBA fitted inside control box.
Check LED status on PCBA. (Refer to CW-H
Manual for further details)
Check communication wiring between PLC and
PCBA
Replace PCBA
Fault Code 2 FAILURE TO DETECT WATER AT LOW
PROBE
No water at low probe 20 minutes after
solenoid valve opening.
Check water supply on.
Check solenoid valve open.
Check drain valve closed.
Check water management probe position
relative to drain valve overflow.
Clean water management probe.
Fault Code 3 FAILURE TO DETECT WATER AT HIGH
PROBE
No water at high probe 20 minutes after
water detected at low probe.
Check solenoid valve open.
Check water management probe position
relative to drain valve overflow.
Clean water management probe.
Check water supply pressure sufficient to
maintain tank capacity.
Fault Code 4 FAILURE TO CLEAR LOW PROBE
DURING DRAIN
Water still detected at low probe 20
minutes after drain opened.
Check drain valve open.
Check drain pipework not blocked.
Check solenoid valve closed.
Clean water management probe.
Fault Code 5 WATER DETECTED AT HIGH PROBE
BUT NOT LOW PROBE
Clean water management probe.
Fault Code 6 FAILURE TO CLEAR HIGH PROBE
Water still detected at high probe after 4
hours running in Cool mode.
Check solenoid valve not stuck open.
Check all pumps operating when required
Clean pumps.
Check pump hoses not blocked.
Check excessive rain not entering cooler.
Clean water management probe.
Fault Code 7 MOTOR ERROR Check Motor Power Cable connections.
Check Motor Communications Cable
connections.

CHLORINATOR FAULT
Chlorinator has reached end of life or is
experiencing a short circuit.
Check cooler PLC flashing LEDs for fault type.
Check no debris between chlorinator plates.
Replace Chlorinator

ROOM AIR SENSOR
Temperature or Relative Humidity input
value is 0V or 10V
Check Sensor values at PLC cooler screen
“SENSORS” menu
Check Sensor wiring connectors
If no Sensor fitted, check Sensor has
not been accidentally enabled on Wall
Controller and/or PLC

AMBIENT AIR SENSOR
Temperature or Relative Humidity input
value is 0V or 10V
Check Sensor values at PLC cooler screen
“SENSORS” menu
Check Sensor wiring connectors
If no Sensor fitted, check Sensor has
not been accidentally enabled on Wall
Controller and/or PLC

COMMUNICATION FAILURE
Wall Controller has lost communication
with cooler
Ensure cooler is powered up.
Check communication cable connections
including 120Ω Modbus terminating resistors.
All faults below shut the individual cooler down unless stated. Other coolers on the same RS 485
Modbus network will continue to run
