To ensure the function of the video server at the next communications access, follow the instructions below 

carefully. If persons other than the administrator are permitted to use the video serve, the administrator should 
create user profiles for these persons. If the video server accepts communications access and it acts as a server, the 
user name and password are the same as for web access. Access to the configuration page is reserved for the 
administrator only.

 

 
For modem operation, further information is needed. For details on further settings, refer to the Modem section. For 

details on special security applications, refer to the Application section. After making and saving all settings, switch 
off the video server and replace the null modem cable by the cable of the dial-up modem. To create a new 
connection, reboot the video server.

 

 
If the dial-up configuration was enabled, the video server dials a number, sends the system start log and disconnects 
after the preset time.
