3.3.5 DisplayPort / HDMI Connector
According to Qseven
®
specifications Rel.2.0, on MXM connectors there are some pins, reserved
for video signals, that are shared between DisplayPort interface and TMDS interface. This means
that Qseven
®
CPU modules compliant to rel.2.0 can offer one of these two video interfaces,
remaining compliant to the specifications.
Depending on the CPU module used, however, only one of these two interfaces can work. For this
reason, it is given the possibility to purchase the board in two different configurations.
In case you are planning to keep the compatibility with Qseven
®
modules with DP interface instead
of HDMI displays, simply by choosing when plugging the module on the Carrier board, then you
can purchase the board with a DP+HDMI combo connector, CN3, type FREEPORT p/n 62EHDS-
30AN0-P1-D, with the following pinout (it is HDMI and Display Port standard pinout):.

Please notice that with this factory configuration, signals reported on the above table don’t come
directly from the Qseven
®
golden finger connector, they are opportunely switched by a dedicated
IC, Texas Instruments SN75DP122A DisplayPort 1:2 Switch With Integrated TMDS Translator.
In this factory configuration, it is necessary to configure properly jumpers JP1 and JP2 for
switching between Display Port and HDMI.
