Calibrating the Ku-Band Co-Pol/Cross-Pol Feed Assembly   

If the polarization potentiometer has been replaced or decoupled from the OMT, refer to the procedure 

below to calibrate the Ku-Band Co-Pol/Cross-Pol feed assembly on the 2.m meter offset reflector.   
 

1.

 

Assure that the Ku-Band drop-

in feed assembly is installed 

with the alignment mark 
aligned with strut #2 (the 

right side strut)   

 
 
 
 
 
 
Alignment mark (scribed into the end 

of the feed assembly) 

 

2.

 

Assure that the DAC-2202 TX 

Polarity is set to 2 (Horizontal 

TX).   

3.

 

Set the DAC-2202 POL TYPE 
to 0009.   

4.

 

Set Balance Mode ON.   

5.

 

At the antenna, loosen the 

top (hidden by wires in this 

picture) motor mounting 

screw.   

6.

 

Loosen the bottom in the 

slotted hole.   

7.

 

Rotate the body of the motor 

CCW to decouple the motor 

drive gear from the OMT 

driven gear.
