Cautions – Battery
Use and Care

Ensure you follow the applicable warnings and cautions indicated here.

Warning:

Do not attempt to charge the battery cells in potentially hazardous areas.

Do not remove battery compartment, charge batteries, change batteries in anything
but a known nonhazardous environment.

Caution:

No attempt should be made to alter or repair the charger.

Caution:

Do not attempt to replace the device’s battery. Return to Scott Safety for

replacement or repairs.

Caution:

A fully discharged battery can lead to the loss of device’s date and time

resulting in the potential for erroneous event logging data. Recharge battery when
warning displays.

Caution:

Battery life (instrument run time) reduces at low temperatures.

Caution:

Recharge battery pack as soon as the device indicates a low battery alarm.
