MAINTENANCE
7.1 SCHEDULE
Set up a schedule for periodic inspection and maintenance, following established institutional
practices. Scheduling preventive maintenance will be, to a large extent, dictated by the D.I. water
content of the water supply.
7.2 SURFACE CLEANING
Clean the exterior surfaces of washer at least once a week. Any commercial stainless steel
cleaner or polish may be used. In addition to keeping the machine looking new experience shows
that a clean, well-maintained machine invariably encourages more efficient and careful use of
equipment.
7.3 CHAMBER INTERIOR
Periodically or as required by the local water supply, it will be necessary to remove scale from
inside surfaces of the tank. The scale can be removed with a solution of buffered hydrochloric
acid or commercial "Mildstone" remover. Consult the detergent supplier for recommended
procedures.
7.4 DEBRIS BASKETS AND SUMP SCREEN
a. Remove header from washer chamber.
b. Remove the debris baskets located at the bottom of the chamber by lifting it upwards.
c. Wash the screens under a forceful stream of tap water to remove all soil, and replace in
the sump.
NOTE: Do not leave debris below screens to get trapped in spray jets.
