Changing the Default Settings
The GPSteer default settings are designed to meet the needs of a
typical farm vehicle.
GPSteer allows you to change the following default settings:
•
Swath setup
- change your swath width, the sensitivity (how
aggressively your vehicle steers onto the target swath), and
change your type of position adjustment (cross-track position
or heading angle to the target swath)
•
System setup
- change the units from U.S. to metric, adjust
the display screen contrast, adjust the display screen to allow
for blue text on a white background (default) or the reverse -
white text on a blue background, and access the three main
setup menus: lightbar (LB Setup), GPS, and steering.
•
LB Setup Menu
- the Lightbar setup menu will be a
feature on a future release of GPSteer.
•
GPS Setup Menu
- the GPS setup menu will be a
feature on a future release of GPSteer.
•
Steering Setup Menu
- The Steering setup menu
allows you to run a valve test, view your turn rate, and
adjust your Gain and Proportional settings.

Warning!
Before changing any default settings, please make sure you have
properly calibrated GPSteer according to the instructions in
“Chapter 4: Calibrating GPSteer.”
