5 Acceptance and transportation
Observe the safety instructions in Chapter 2!
5.1 Accepting the machine
The machine is delivered in a complete and pack
aged condition from the manufacturer.
1.
Unpack the machine and check the enclosed
delivery slip to make sure all parts have been
delivered.
2.
Check whether any items have been damaged
in transit.
In case of damage, contact the transport com
pany immediately!
Report any problems to the manufacturer imme
diately!
Complaints at a later date cannot be acknowl
edged!
5.2 Transporting the machine
Proceed with the greatest care and caution!
Observe weight data on packaging or in the
accompanying documentation.
Never walk or reach beneath the load while it is
being lowered.
Wear safety shoes!
Wear safety gloves!
The integrated forward drive must not be used
to transport the machine.
Devices for lashing and transporting the unit
have to be rated to handle its full weight and
dimensions.
The machine should be lifted only by the middle
of the cross bar [2, Fig. A/B].
The lashing gear for lashing the machine onto a
pallet may be fastened only at the cross bar or
at the safety bars [1, Fig. A/B].
During transport with a crane, the lift lever
[16, Fig. B/C] and the milling depth lever
[17, Fig. B/C] must not be engaged.
No additional loads may be lifted together with
the machine when it is transported by a crane.
Risk of injury from heavy loads!
Suspended loads can fall or tip over, causing
serious injuries!
Do not stand under suspended loads!
Raising and lowering the load must be per
formed by two persons!
Do not raise loads any higher than necessary!
Prevent the load from swinging back and forth!
Keep sufficient safety distance.
When transporting the machine over ramps, the
centre of gravity and the weight need to be
taken into account.
For longer transportation or longer storage, the
machine must be covered to protect against
soiling.
1.
End operation (
!
Chapter 3.3 ‐ page 20).
2.
Fasten all loose parts to the machine.
3.
Either:
A relocation over shorter distances is possible
with the wheels in transport position.
a.
Press the transport pedal [14, Fig. B] all
the way down until it locks into place
(
!
Chapter 3.2 ‐ page 19)
b.
Move the machine to the appropriate loca
tion and deposit.
Or:
The machine can be transported while being
fastened to a pallet which protects it against
damage.
Always secure the machine according to regula
tions during lifting or transport by a vehicle or
suitable devices and strap down with tension
belts.
a.
Lower the drive wheels [13, Fig. A/B]
(
!
Chapter 3.2 ‐ page 19).
b.
Push the lift lever (quick lift) [16, Fig. C] all
the way forward.
The milling rotor is lowered.
c.
Attach suitable lashing gear (belts or
ropes) to the cross bar [2, Fig. A] and pos
sibly to the safety bars [1, Fig. A] if neces
sary and hoist the machine onto a suitable
transport device (e.g. a pallet).
Danger of being crushed!
When lifting the machine, the machine may be
gripped only by the guide handle [5, Fig. A/B] or
the handle [9, Fig. A/B]!
