18. When performing cleaning and servicing work,
ensure that authoritative regulations applicable
to the particular location regarding the correct
handling of oils, fats, acids, alkalis, fuels and
other similar agents are obeyed.
19. Observe the regulations applicable to your
location when disposing of old machines or their
components.
20. Do not clean the machine with a high-pressure
cleaner.
21. Use only fuel, fuel mixture and engine oil as
recommended by the manufacturer.
22. Always switch off the engine when changing the
oil
Danger!
23. Do not touch high-tension cables while engine
is running.
24. Do not touch the spark plug cap.
25. Fire hazard! When filling up with petrol
- Always switch off the engine
- Fill up with petrol only when the engine is
cold
- Do not overfill the tank; observe the filling
mark
- Fill up with petrol in well-ventilated rooms
only
- Do not start the engine until spilled petrol
has been completely removed
- Ensure that the tank is tightly closed
- Do not smoke or use open flames when fill-
ing up
26. Do not use open flames when manipulating
internal combustion engines
27. Do not use flammable liquids to clean the ma-
chine
28. Do not use the machine in the rain
29. Do not carry out service work under the ma-
chine if it is not secured.
30. Do not lift and transport by crane if:
- persons are in the danger area
- smoothing plates are fitted
31. Poisoning hazard! Do not use machines with
internal combustion engines in enclosed
spaces.
32. Burning hazard! Do not touch the exhaust pipe.
1. Preparing the Machine
1. Operate only in a clean condition
2. Fill up the tank with regular petrol
3. Fill up the water tank, test the sprayer
4. Check the engine and gearbox oil
5. Check the machine and the smoothing tools
6. Check the condition of the battery
2. Switching on/off
1. Switching on
- Switch on the machine only from the driver’s
seat
- Open fuel tap
- Actuate and hold the dead man’s switch
- Pull out the choke if the engine is cold
- Turn the ignition switch to ‘START’ and hold it
- Fully depress the accelerator pedal
- Release the ignition switch when the engine
starts to run

- Ignition switch to ‘OFF’
- Close the fuel tap
3. Working with the machine
1. Driving forwards = Push both control levers

Do not perform any abrupt turning manoeuvres
when working.
4. Transporting the machine
1. Mount the chassis
2. Set the machine down only on the smoothing
trowels, which have been set flat
3. Always secure against slipping when transport-
ing in a vehicle
4. Lift and secure the machine only at the anchor-
ing points provided
5. Maintenance and service
1. Always switch off the engine and close the fuel
tap when performing maintenance work.
2. Service work may only be carried out by trained
personnel.
3. Check working tools regularly for wear.
4. Clean the machine after work.
