Always dry the grill plate well. Store it in a dry place.
Cleaning in the dishwasher is possible, but not recommended. Regular cleaning in the
dishwasher may lead to a dull, matt surface and does not constitute grounds for com-
plaint.
General instructions relating to enamelled cookware
Enamelled cast iron cookware is a perfect heat accumulator. After it has been heated
up evenly, you can continue cooking on a low heat. Even after the heat source has been
turned off, the cast iron cookware keeps the food warm for a long time.
After use, you should leave the cast iron cookware to cool down before you rinse it. Do
not
immerse the heated cookware in cold water or fill it up with cold water (quenching).
This may lead to bursting or to hairline cracks.
Enamel is sensitive to knocks and bumps. Knocks can lead to the peeling and splintering
of the enamel – that is why you should treat the cookware with care. Damages from
knocks and bumps are not subject to the guarantee. Knocked places may corrode. Dab
these with some oil to protect them.
Enamelled cast iron cookware is extremely heavy: always pick it up when moving it, in
order to avoid scratching the glass ceramic with particles (dust or grains of salt).
Enamel ages. The enamel may develop a slightly brownish colour as a result of regular
use.
