schuett phoenix II Sicherheits-Bunsenbrenner/Safety Bunsen Burner
Seite/page 28
“Switch on sensor”
In case the sensor sensitivity is set to “off“, the burner shows the following remark
shortly after the operating mode “Sensor” has been selected.
See “Setting options of sensor features/Setting of sensor sensitivity”, page 22.
„Plug in foot-switch“
If the foot-switch is not connected and the operating mode “Foot“ is selected, the
burner shows the remark “Plug in foot-switch” shortly afterwards.
Please connect the foot-switch (see “Putting into operation”, page 10).
“Charge battery” (only for battery operation)
The battery has fallen below its minimum voltage. Charge the battery by using the
provided battery charger at the line/mains supply.
Certified safety:
The device meets the latest safety regulations such as DIN 30665 chapter 1 and has been registered
under DIN-DVGW*
certificate NG-2211AR0750.
Constructive safety measures
Low placed burner tube and sparking electrode
The burner tube and sparking electrode are placed low inside the burner head
to guarantee a stable flame, even in strong currents in laminar flow cabinets.
Drain for liquids
Liquids entering the burner head are drained via a special opening in the
bottom. Clogging of the air regulation is not possible due to its advanced
design.
Gas Input filter
A filter in the magnet valve prevents particles from entering the burner via the gas supply.
Overheating protection
The burner head of the schuett phoenix II is physically separated from the burner by a thermally
insulating jacket, i.e. even in the continuous mode the temperature of the housing never exceeds 60
°C.
Tilting
For flame-sterilizing e.g. bottlenecks, it can be advantageous to put the schuett
phoenix II in a tilted position. Switch the burner off and lift the bracket until it
locks in place. Tilt the burner accordingly, depending on left-hand or right-
hand operation.
