4.13.1 Instructions for use and safety
• Persons who do not possess the required experience or sufficient
knowledge of the motor components, must not use them.
• Physically and mentally disabled persons may not use the motor com-
ponents unless they are supervised or have received thorough instruc-
tions for use from a person responsible for their safety.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
motor components.
• Anyone connecting, installing or using the system must have access to
these instructions for use.
• The motor components must not be used in the presence of flammable,
anaesthetic mixtures with air, oxygen
or nitrogen oxides.
• Do not use any chemicals and carry out an annual
inspection for damage and wear.
• Do not expose the components of the LINAK drive system to UV radiati-
on disinfection lamps. This can lead to damage
to the housing, carrier parts and cables.
• If you detect any faults, the product must be replaced.
• In order to avoid unintentional movements, prevent that the manual
controller is activated inadvertently, for example
during normal use or maintenance.
• The duty cycle printed on the label of the drive system must always be
observed. If it is exceeded there is the risk of damage to the drive sys-
tem. Unless indicated otherwise on the label, the duty cycle is maximum
2 minutes continuous operation followed by an 18-minute break.
• The systems must not be exposed directly to the jet of a high-pressure
cleaner.
