5.5.2 Retrofitting the springer balancer into the vacuum tube lifter JUMBO
5.6 Setting the hovering position
In this step, you adjust the hovering position of the vacuum tube lifter
J
UMBO
, with and without load, to
the working height for the activity at hand.
5.6.1 Without load
The hovering position of the vacuum tube lifter
J
UMBO
has to be adjusted to the respective working
height. You do this by changing the position of a flap inside the operator handle.
Procedure:
Rotate the adjusting screw on the operator handle (this can be accessed from below or the side)
Rotate clockwise
flap opens further, lowering the hovering position of the vacuum tube lifter
J
UMBO
.
Rotate counterclockwise
flap is closed, causing the vacuum tube lifter
J
UMBO
to take in less
ambient air and resulting in a higher hovering position.
Note on the hose cylinder
Lower hovering position
Raise hovering position
Lift tube damage
If the hovering position is not set with and without a load, the lift tube will
become damaged when moving to the end-stop position.
►
Set the hovering position with and without load.
ATTENTION
For the vacuum tube lifter Jumbo Ergo, the hovering position without load is
influenced by the position of the control handle. The hovering position should be set
with the control handle in a fully closed position (away from operator).
When retrofitting the springer balancer, two M5 holes (see arrow)
must be made in rotary union to be able to screw in the springer
balancer.
You will then need to set the springer balancer, as described in
section 5.5.1.
For more information, please refer to the installation instructions or
operating instructions supplied with the springer balancer.
