6. Increasing the system availability
6.1. Function
The
filter time
is used to suppress short radio interferences.
If a radio slave cannot be accessed due to an interference, a
bus error is indicated to the Profibus master only after the
filter time has been elapsed. Only then are the outputs of the
connected DP slaves switched into safe condition.
The advantage is that Profibus bus errors can be supressed
for an adjustable time and thus the system availability van ib
increased.
6.2. Setting of the filter time
Connect the
Radio Master
with the USB cable to the
PC.
