4° Base Wedge for PowerTower – PT3010, PT2010
Installation Instructions
PT3010, PT2010 Kit Contents:
•
PT3010 or PT2010 Base Wedge
•
Wedge Base Seal
Also Required:
•
For PT3010 Base Wedge either a Composite or Aluminium PowerTower.
•
For PT2010 Base Wedge a Stainless Steel PowerTower.
•
4 x M8 Stainless Steel bolts, large washers and nuts to attach PowerTower
and Base Wedge assembly to the deck. Length to suit deck/arch thickness.

Ø8.5mm Drill
•
Hole Cutter for cable loom; approx Ø50mm.
•
Spanners/sockets to suit.
1.
Place the PowerTower, wedge and seals in the required position with the
wedge seal on the deck and the PowerTower seal between the base of the
PowerTower and the top surface of the wedge.
2.
Mark the deck with the position of the 4 mounting holes.
3.
Drill clearance holes for 8mm (5/16 inch) bolts remembering to incline the
drill at 4 degrees to the vertical so that the bolt heads will be aligned with the
top surface of the PowerTower.
4.
Secure the assembly to the deck using 8mm or 5/16 inch bolts, washers and
lock nuts. Tighten the nuts until seals are crushed to about 1/3 of their
original thickness or the PowerTower feels secure. Do not over tighten bolts.
5.
Install the antenna as described in the PowerTower mounting instructions.
