Step 19
Connect and adjust platform ramps
Connect and adjust the platform loading ramps.
Procedure
1
Ensure the control cams on the rails and all limit
switches are adjusted before checking the ramps.

Connect the linkage from the carriage to the platform
ramps at both sides (see below).

Adjust the ramps to achieve a 45 degree angle between
the platform and the ramp when the arm is in a closed
(horizontal) position. When the arm is open (up), the
ramp must come down to rest at the landing.

Note that the ramps are also used as safety bumpers
when the platform is folded and unfolded. To enable
proper functioning of the switch, the ramps must be as
far as possible to the outside.

Adjust the linkage bar for the ramp (shown below) as far
out as possible toward the end of the ramp and secure
in place. Make sure there is enough space to open and
close the ramp.

When adjustment is complete, check that the loading
ramp operates properly.
