8. TROUBLESHOOTING

The safety information from section 2 “Safety” must be observed.

DANGER!

Hazard from malfunction!

Incorrect assembly of the circular magnet can cause a malfunction of the
machine.

This can cause crushing and jamming points, posing a risk of crushing for
limbs.

Objects can be ejected, causing serious injuries and even death.

■

Have troubleshooting carried out only be qualified personnel.

■

The circular magnet must always be securely attached to the work
surface of the machine tool. Check after assembly!

■

Re-attach safety devices correctly.

DANGER!

Risk of crushing!

There is a risk of crushing limbs from tipping over or falling of the magnets
due to incorrect installation and removal of the circular magnets.

■

Secure the circular magnets against falling or tipping over.

■

When lifting the circular magnets, only use suitable and approved
lifting gear and slings which are designed for the weight of the circular
magnets.

■

Have troubleshooting carried out only be qualified personnel.

Circular magnet not switching

■

Switching mechanism defective. Send the circular magnet to SAV GmbH for repair.

Workpiece not adhering to the circular magnet

■

Holding force of the workpiece too low, e.g. due to high-alloy workpieces. Observe the information
in section 3.1 “Holding forces”.
