USING A FAX MACHINE
FAX in the FB-250 UE works in the same way as they do through a
telephone line.
Follow these steps to send/receive a fax using the FB-250 UE:
1. Connect the Fax machine to the FAX port or to any other RJ-11
ports configured as 3.1 kHz for ‘Outgoing call’ and ‘Incoming
call’.
2. Place the documents you want to send on the fax machine.
3. Dial the number on your fax machine, using the format:
<+country code><destination fax number> # (for example,
+6512345678
# ).
4. Wait until the fax is sent.
5. If the port connected to the fax machine is configured as “3.1
kHz high quality voice/fax call” for ‘Incoming call’, then incom-
ing fax can be received by the FAX machine.
USING A STANDARD PHONE
You can connect a standard analog phone to the PHONE port to
make and receive voice calls. Remember that to perform a call from the
auxiliar phone you only need to
<+country code><destination number> #
(for example, +6512345678 # ).
If you configure ‘Incoming Call’ port as 3.1 kHz high quality voice/fax call
then incoming fax will make that telephone ring.
Satlink recommends using 3.1 kHz high quality voice/fax call option
only for FAX communications.
Please remember to terminate the dial string with “#” as shown in the example.
