appropriate voice/fax equipment, then the behaviour of the ports for in-
coming and outgoing calls will be as follows
I Incoming calls
All Fleet Broadband SIM cards are provisioned with 2 numbers
(MSISDNs), one each meant for 3.1KHz/fax calls and standard
voice calls (AMBE+2).
I 3.1KHz/Fax Calls:
When a remote party wants to send fax to the fax machine con-
nected to the Satlink FB250, the he/she must use the 3.1KHz
MSISDN number of the SIM card inserted into the Satlink FB250
terminal. When using this number, network will automatically
setup a 3.1KHz audio call to the Satlink FB250.
When an incoming 3.1KHz audio call is received by the Satlink
FB250, then all the equipment connected to the ports which are
configured to receive incoming calls using 3.1KHz/fax will ring.
If a fax machine is connected to the FAX port of Satlink FB250
and if the port is enabled for incoming call, then it will connect
and receive the incoming fax.
Similarly, when an incoming call to the Satlink FB250 is made
from a remote party using the standard voice call (AMBE
MSISDN) number, then all the equipment connected to the ports
which are configured to receive incoming standard voice calls
will ring.

Outgoing calls
When one of the audio equipment (Analog Phone, FAX or Pri-
mary Handset) connected to their respective ports is off-hooked
and an outgoing call is made, the outgoing call will be of the
type “3.1KHz audio” or “standard voice” depending upon the
outgoing call setting for that particular port. Please note that 3.1
KHz audio call is meant for fax transmission and it is not recom-
mended for normal voice conversation as the airtime charge for
3.1 KHz audio is expected to be significantly higher than the
standard voice call.
